RESOLUTION OF THE JIGAWA STATE EXECUTIVECOUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER, 2024

On Monday, September 9, 2024, the State Executive Council of Jigawa State, led by Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi FCA, made several pivotal decisions. Here are the key points:

1. Road Construction, Rehabilitation, and Maintenance

The Council approved a major infrastructure initiative for the construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of 45 roads across the state, totaling 835.36 kilometers. The total contract sum for this project is ₦300,466,881,045.53. Additionally, an advance payment of 10% of this amount, equating to ₦30,046,688,104.55, will be made to the contractors.

Additionally, ₦4,809,958,330.67 was allocated as a 30% mobilization payment to contractors for these projects.

4. Water Supply Upgrades

A sum of ₦473,624,289.79 was approved for upgrading and converting motorized water supply schemes to solar power in 27 small towns across the state. The beneficiary communities include:
